AKA My long ramblings about Marcus and Daisy McLeod, 2 OCs from my Dean/Cas Big Bang fic
Okay.
So these two won't really have a big role in the fic, but. I already like them a lot, so I want to plan something out for them and make sure that they have a really interesting, dynamic backstory. So!
How they fit into my narrative:
• Bobby knows them from... a place. Yes. They are hunters, and they've run into Bobby a time or two and he realizes they're pretty cool folks and he knows if he needs them he could count on them. But they're not close. It's just... Okay, well you get the point.
• Once Cas has fallen and he sort of gets kicked out (like Dean basically just refuses to even speak to him), Bobby figures that - since the guy has very little practical knowledge in being human - he ought to send Cas somewhere he'll be able to have someone show him the ropes or take care of him or whatever. So he gives the McLeods a call.
• Cas stays with them for awhile, but he's really down in the dumps about everything, getting kind of obsessive, and he isn't sure he wants to take up the hunting lifestyle, so. I think one day he just decides to leave. And they don't think it's a particularly good idea to let him out on his own, so they sort of keep tabs on him and make sure he gets a job and everything. And the job is where he meets Alyssa, and. Well that's when things start going badly.
• They like Cas and they can see that something's wrong with him, so they want to keep up with him - and somehow, maybe a visit or just not hearing from him or something, they figure out something is wrong and contact Bobby.
And that's basically all they do for the story. Um, okay, though. Other stuff. Originally I just sort of had this idea for some sort of couple Cas to meet up with, and then for whatever reason I saw Cloak and Dagger from Marvel and I was like "Ahh ha!" and so I had basically what they looked like, and also a starting point for their backstory (though it wound up changing a lot). And then I got an idea for their personalities: Daisy is basically like Lotte from Disney's The Princess and the Frog and Marcus is very similar to Sig from Full Metal Alchemist. She's this emotional, big-hearted person: like, she seems really sweet but if she sees a threat the safety comes off and SHE WILL FUCK YOU UP sort of a deal. Marcus, on the other hand, is really the more nurturing one. Like he's this big, huge guy, and people are intimidated by him, but he's... he's just a solid, steady guy, and he's good about keeping Daisy grounded when she flies off the handle about something. Like she'll be aggravated and upset and will be pacing and talking in this constant stream of worries and stream of consciousness and he can just come up and put his arms around her in this big, warm hug and it all sort of melts away for her and she just sighs it all away and squeezes him back tight and that just makes things okay. UGH WOW I THINK I LOVE THESE TWO SO MUCH ALREADY IT'S RIDICULOUS.
Hee. Like seriously. Daisy is just like WHOO, I'M 'BOUT TO GET THINGS GOING and Marcus is ".." (Baby, please calm down I think you're scaring people.) I can see her with this curly blonde hair, with a little daisy barrette (that Marcus bought for her ADL;DKDJHKLKDHJKLS) over her left ear, with big combat boots, denim shorts, and a green tanktop.
Okay, can I just write an entire about these two now because seriously they are my new favorites.
